Cookie Policy
This website does not set any cookies.
No cookies, and no cookie banner
There are no analytics cookies, no advertising or tracking cookies, no social media cookies and no preference cookies on this site. Nothing here follows you between visits or between websites.
That is also why you are not asked to accept anything: a consent banner exists to gather permission for non-essential cookies, and this site sets none to consent to.
What is stored on your device
The site uses session storage for a quote draft and to remember that the entry splash has been shown.
- Name
cec-quote-draft- Type
- Session storage, not a cookie
- Purpose
- Keeps your answers as you move between the three steps of the quotation form, so a reload or a step back does not lose what you have typed.
- Sent anywhere?
- No. Session storage is never attached to network requests. It stays in your browser.
- How long
- Deleted the moment your request is submitted successfully, and cleared by your browser when you close the tab.
cec-splash-seen records whether the entry splash has been shown in this tab. It contains no journey or contact details and lasts for the tab session.
Miles, the website assistant, uses local storage, which stays in your browser after the tab is closed. None of it is a cookie.
cec-miles-chat-history keeps the latest 15 messages of your Miles conversation so it survives a reload. Choosing Clear in the Miles header deletes it.
cec-miles-booking-draft keeps an unfinished Miles booking request — the details entered so far. It is deleted when the request is sent, when you close the booking request, or after 24 hours.
cec-miles-client-id is a random identifier used to count Miles' hourly replies, and cec-miles-rate-status keeps a copy of that count and its reset time for display. The identifier is sent with questions to Miles; the website stores only a one-way hash of it.
cec-miles-intro-seen records that the Miles introduction has been shown or dismissed.
To remove any of these yourself, clear site data for this site in your browser settings. Session storage is also cleared when you close the tab.
Third-party services
The quotation form's address fields use Google's Places service to suggest addresses. Loading that service means your browser contacts Google, and Google may set its own cookies or use its own storage under its domains, outside this site's control. This happens only on the quotation page, and only once you start typing an address. Google's privacy policy governs anything Google stores.
Submitting either form, or sending a booking request through Miles, sends its contents to Web3Forms for delivery. That is a single outgoing request; it does not set cookies on this site.
Questions you ask Miles are processed by Cloudflare Workers AI through this website's own server function. That does not set cookies on this site.
Both are described in more detail in the privacy policy.
